Beware of Fixed / Guaranteed Return Schemes
Beware of fixed, guaranteed, or capital protection schemes. Brokers or their authorized persons are not authorized to offer fixed or guaranteed returns on your investment.
Don't Keep Funds Idle with Stock Broker
Your stock broker has to return the credit balance lying with them within three working days in case you have not done any transaction within the last 30 calendar days.
Check Frequency of Account Settlement
If you have opted for a running account, ensure that your broker settles your account not later than once in 90 days, or 30 days if you selected 30-day settlement.
Securities as Margin - Important Rules
Brokers are not permitted to accept transfer of securities as margin. Securities offered as collateral must remain in the client's account and can be pledged only through the margin pledge process.
